|Life is constantly changing, right in front of our eyes. And sometimes we're not quite ready or happy with these changes; other times we might struggle or even refuse to accept these changes. Yet creating healthy changes in our lives can be highly beneficial for increasing our overall well-being, especially if we're feeling motivated to get started.

|It can be super important to let the mother in your life know that you appreciate all of her hard work and dedication in taking care of so many others around her. It can be a tough job to inherent all of the responsibilities and jobs that are often absorbed by a mom, so help her to feel pampered and special every once in awhile ~ especially on Mother's Day, which falls on Sunday, May 13 this year.
|I must admit that at the core of who I am, I enjoy being warm and comfortable. Perhaps it's from growing up in Canada and experiencing some seriously cold winters that make you want to stay under the covers for days, or maybe it's just a trait of who I am as a person. Either way, if I come for a visit to your home and you pass me a blanket to wrap myself in, I will be so grateful!
|As a therapist and mental health blogger I spend a lot of time exploring the emotional aspects of peoples lives and if there is one thing I have learned from this experience it's that emotions rarely stay fixed. Our emotional landscape is always changing and may be influenced by the events in our lives, the chemistry make-up inside our brains, and so many different aspects of our lives.
|A wellness blog like the one you have just landed on is a great place to become more informed about topics focusing on mental health such as anxiety and depression or to explore strategies centered around self-care or even how to build self-compassion within yourself.
|Valentine's Day is right around the corner and February is a fantastic month to increase the passion and love in your life either towards yourself or within your relationships. Feeling connected to yourself and others is a fundamental human need, so it's okay to want a bit of romance in your life!
|After entering the blogging world a few years ago, I now realize I have learned quite a bit about myself including my ability to find internal motivation without having an external deadline looming over my head, as well as the passion I have for creating and sharing content with others.
|Homemade spa days are one of my favourite self-care practices. Relaxing in a lavender scented bath is a one of the one only places that my smartphone is not welcome and that I can close my eyes and forget all of the tasks I need to complete or cleaning that needs to be done.
