|Homemade spa days are one of my favourite self-care practices. Relaxing in a lavender scented bath is a one of the one only places that my smartphone is not welcome and that I can close my eyes and forget all of the tasks I need to complete or cleaning that needs to be done.
I have been having a lot of fun creating my own natural products and it's incredible that I have only just tried making my own bath bombs.. and with great success, I might add!
Fizzing bath bombs are simple to make and pack a serious aroma thanks to the essential oils inside. The fizzing is just like store bought bath bombs; it's fun to watch them disappear into the water while releasing a soothing aroma.
These all natural fizzing bath bombs are great to stock up for your own spa days or give as gifts. You will put a smile on a friends face when you share your handcrafted bath bombs with them.
All Natural Fizzing Bath Bombs
The recipe I followed to make my fizzing bath bombs can be found on the doTERRA website. I ended up making a few alterations and they turned out great and smell phenomenal. I also made toilet bombs that I will share in another blog post in the future.
*Citric acid can be found in grocery stores in the canning section or on Amazon.
+Optional: Replace FCO with water in spray bottle.
Note: If you don't have a bathtub, these bath bombs can still be effective in a shower. The water will help dissolve the bath bomb and release the aroma of the essential oils into the steam.
Herbs & Essential Oils Super Bundle
I used Lavender Essential Oil in this recipe because it is one of my favourite essential oils from doTERRA. Lavender EO has a soothing scent that is perfect for a spa day at home using these homemade fizzing bath bombs.
There are so many other essential oils you could use in bath bombs depending on your scent preference. For example, citrus scents like Wild Orange and Grapefruit or earthy tones like Cedarwood and Juniper Berry would be great combinations to try out.
