|Technology today presents us with many wonders. The advancement in technology over the last five years alone has seen us reach incredible feats. However, with technology advancing at the rate it is, this opens tech up to more and more issues. Most of the time, these issues, although only very small, can present vast amounts of stress. If there is one thing we could do with less of, it’s stress. We are going to look today simple solutions when it comes to troublesome tech and how these easy fixes can reduce a whole lot of stress. Please note: The information contained in this article is not mental health advice. If you are concerned about your health, please seek professional support from a doctor or hospital. This is a collaborative post. Reducing Stress Related to Troublesome TechLet's start exploring some of the tech issues you might come across that cause unwanted stress, and some quick fixes that might help. PC & Mac Issues I have placed PC & Mac in the same section here which of course will cause some dismay to some, where it need not. The number one issue when it comes to a common ground issue with both PC and Mac is errors with updates. With PC, windows itself has never been the most reliable when it comes to updates. Most of us remember seeing the blue screen of death and the feeling that gave us. The number one piece of advice when it comes to PC updates is simple. Create a restore point before the update, if the update messes with your PC, restore it. Generally, if you get errors when you update, there is a miscommunication with your hardware and software. When it comes to Mac, we all know the minor teething problems that all of Apple’s software faces. The reason for this is that Apple is a lot smarter with what they provide. Providing more intelligent software gives more issues. You can be sure there will be some Mac OS Catalina problems, but there will always be plenty of support to ensure they can be sorted out as soon as possible. Phone Issues Mobile phones have become infinitely more complex over the last ten years. Long gone are the days of a battery that lasted all week. We now have phones that can pretty much do everything we ever wanted them to do, and a little more. The trouble is, now the technology has advanced, we see more issues with smartphones than ever before. Luckily enough, most of these issues are quite simple to fix. The number one complaint, especially with iPhone is the dreaded battery drain. The battery drain associated with the iPhone can be attributed to many factors. Location services can be hugely demanding on your battery, and you should also ensure you have background app refresh turned off. An issue that occurs quite often with android phones is overheating. This overheating is generally down to an app running in the background. The app that is running will more than likely be a third-party app from an unknown source. These apps are the biggest killer of android phones. Television Although the television has been around for many years, they have never failed to present issues. Modern-day television problems are far more complicated than they once were. The number one issue with TV’s nowadays is generally to do with their smart settings. The setting that always seems to pose a problem is network connectivity. This one should not be danced around. Even the most reputable names in television production have issues with the Wifi system in the TV’s, and this is for one reason. The Wifi cards suck! The best solution for this is where possible, connect to your TV via ethernet. The Wifi cards, especially on wall-mounted televisions, have a line of sight issues and unfortunately, do not perform as they should.
