Master Your Productivity In 3 Simple Steps

Let's explore 3 simple steps you can take RIGHT NOW to master your productivity... make sure you follow through with the action steps, otherwise you'll be stuck in the same place you started before you read this article!

Step 1 | Discover Your Reason

The first step to mastering your productivity is all about discovering your reason for wanting to be more productive. Having a goal is great, but it's also important to know the underlying facts from where this goal stemmed from originally which can propel you forward in achieving more efficiency in your every day life.

Ask yourself WHY you want to be more productive and WHAT would you like this productivity to achieve in your life?

Some WHY's might include:
  • feeling stressed and overwhelmed
  • not seeing the progress you hoped for
  • having a mountain of tasks or to-do lists

Some WHAT's might include:
  • feeling less stressed and easing the overwhelm
  • having a system that works and finally seeing progress
  • finally ticking off those tasks and accomplishing goals and dreams

Now over to you... go for a walk, meditate, spend some time daydreaming about why you want to be more productive during your day and what it might change for you if you had more efficient ways of getting things done

Step 2 | Find Your Tools

Consider some TOOLS that you can use - or already use - to help you to stay organized and motivated on your tasks. Getting organized and having tools to help you be efficient in your action steps can help you maintain your productivity no matter what project or task you embark on.

Here are some tools that I personally use for you to check out:

  • Long-term Goals/Vision Board: Trello
  • Collaboration Tools: Microsoft Suite Online & Dropbox

Step 3 | Clear the Clutter

Take a look around at your current work space or home. If you're noticing piles of papers, 3 empty coffee mugs and a general sense of disorganization, it's time to clear the clutter! Distractions in your environment can prevent you from being laser-focused on the current task on the top of your to-do list. Organize your space so you can master your productivity today!

Once you finish de-cluttering, make sure to also take stock of your mental and emotional well-being. How are you feeling right now? Stressed or overwhelmed? Tension in your neck? Set aside a few moments of your day to practice some self-care to help you relax and prepare your mind for the day ahead.

Here are some resources to check help you focus on your mental health today:
  • Reorganize Your Bedroom to Improve Mental Health
  • Thrive, Even When You Have Anxiety
  • Mental Health Resources

It can be so important to take the time to be kind to ourselves and allow for moments of self-care, even when we are striving for our goals. Send me a quick reply and let me know how you're going to practice taking care of yourself today!
