|Since becoming a blogger a few years ago, it has become apparent to me just how important it is to have a workstation that is focused on creating a healthy space for me to work at, not just physically, but also mentally, as well. Upgrading the technology I use with the aim of building a healthy workstation for myself has been helpful in keeping my inspiration and focus at center-stage. And with Black Friday 2019 merely a few clicks of the calendar away, this is the perfect time to build your own healthy workspace by upgrading your gear. I always check out the sales happening at Newegg, who are predicted to deliver on all the best quality tech hardware and accessories. Last year, Newegg didn't disappoint with its offerings. This year I'm expecting some great discounts on tech gear, so let's consider what to look for before the sales launch so you can be prepared to upgrade your own space. Please note: The information contained in this article is not professional health advice. If you are concerned about your health, please seek professional support from a doctor or hospital. This is a collaborative post. Building a Healthy Workstation for BloggersOne of the first considerations when thinking about just how well your workspace is working for you and to building a healthy workstation for yourself is to take a look at your monitor or laptop. For example, does your monitor emit harmful blue light that could harm your eyesight over time? For myself, the amount of time I spend staring at my screen has me concerned about how this could impact the health of my eyes over time. Finding a monitor that reduces the exposure ratio of blue light and helps to eliminate screen flickering is easier than you think. Check out this option from Acer that is predicted to be on sale soon during the Black Friday sale through Newegg. This particular monitor uses technology to limit reflections from ambient light sources on the non-glare display panel so you can work in comfort. Another option to help save your eyesight, especially if you are working long into the night or take some time away from your work and playing a lot of video game is to search for computer or gaming eyewear or glasses. There are tons of options and they actually look very cool! Another option to consider when creating a healthy place to blog or work from your computer is the height of your desk or workstation. For example, being able to adjust the height of your desk when using a desktop computer can help you to switch from sitting to standing which can reduce the strain on your back. This can be accomplished with a standing desk or a workstation riser that sits on top of your desk and can be adjusted to your desired height. If you are using a laptop, consider adjusting the height of your workstation by using a laptop stand or desk monitor mount. When you're using a laptop flat on a table, or on your lap, over time this can strain your wrists and arms and can shorten your work time from physical fatigue. A laptop stand can often times adjust the height of your workstation to meet your needs so that you can work longer and get more done. You want to be able to achieve the most comfortable work space possible so that you can complete deadlines without feeling tense or sore after a few hours of work. Other considerations when creating a healthy workstation to blog or work from are the accessories that you use, such as your mouse or keyboard. For example, I have had issues with a sore wrist and so it's imperative that I have a mouse that fits comfortably in my hand as I am constantly using my mouse while at my computer. If you are also into online gaming, finding the perfect gaming mouse to suit your gaming needs can make such a big difference as you switch from gaming to working on your blog or business. A keyboard with wrist support can also help to build a healthy workstation, and also add some personality and colour, depending on which one you choose. It can also be important to consider the style of keyboard such as mechanical keys that require more force to press, or if you prefer smaller, and easier to press keys. It might not seem important, but choosing your preferred style of electronics can help to feel like your workstation is set up exactly the way you want. Other considerations when looking at upgrading your workstation include:
I hope the suggestions in this article about how to build a healthy workstation for bloggers was helpful to get you started thinking about your own work space and how you can invest in technology or accessories that can make your work day healthier and more efficient. Excellent blog with valuable advice for your health! Freelancers must decorate their workstations to make the work environment more friendly, and it's beneficial to use your mentioned table for better back support to work long hours than usual. There are many e-commerce sites which are selling these tables. Can you recommend any website where I can purchase this table?

My workstation is pretty comfortable despite not following most recommendations, however, raising my laptop would definitely be better suited to video conferencing. Right now I have to tilt it down or it only shows the top of my head.
