|The smell of pumpkin spiced latte's and delicious fall desserts are wafting through the air this time of the year, and while it can be so tempting to indulge in all of these sugary treats, it can also be important to focus on ways to keep on track with your health and wellness.
This article will explore three simple ways to get healthy this fall. Be sure to share your own tips about how you keep healthy during the colder months in the comments below.
1. Go for a Crisp Autumn Walk
Grab your scarf, coat, and cute fuzzy boots if you any, bring a friend (or furry friend) and head outside to your favourite walking trail or spend some time exploring your own neighbourhood. Walking can be great exercise without even breaking a sweat, and can help to lower stress and increase feelings of relaxation.
There is something about seeing the leaves falling and those bright orange and red colours that seem to burst to life at this time of the year that can provide an energizing and renewing energy. It can also help to see the trees shedding their leaves as a sign of 'letting go' and to consider what might be helpful to let go of in our own life that has been causing us stress or hardship without much benefit. "Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree." ~Emily Bronte
Want to make your walk even healthier? Try a mindful meditation as you walk through the leaf-lined streets or trail. What a great post! It's so easy now that summer is over to give up on all the healthy things we were doing to "prepare" for summer. But changing season's is no reason to stop doing all the things we do to get healthy. They just might have to change a little. I loved the walking one!

The spring is a lovely time of year, too! But yes, it's definitely more difficult to feel motivated when the weather is cooler.
