My very first impression of the book came from the unique and somewhat-whimsical artwork that graces the cover of The Intuitive Soul's Activity Book. The artwork immediately hooked me, as did the knowledge I had of the overall theme of this book which is to support individuals who wish to hone their natural intuitiveness in their every day life. A quick scan of the subjects outlined in the book continued to pique my interest as it was clear that this book aimed to deliver not only interesting content but also practical, real-world tools that the reader is able to takeaway with them.
As I began reading through the introduction that was written from the authors point of view, I couldn't help feeling connected to her life and the insights about her intuition she had inevitably gained from the tribulations she had experienced in her life. A helpful note from the author also suggested to use the book in a way that works for you, and start at a section that speaks to your needs or interests in particular. At this point, I was ready to dive deeper into the activity book and discover the practical applications I could apply to my own life.
I started reading the next section which I thought was an important foothold and anchor for the rest of the book which aptly asks 'Am I Intuitive?' - it was a good reminder the intuition is a natural skill that we possess as human beings. I immediately felt eager to explore the practical tools this book had to offer in terms of identifying and fostering my own intuition and started by cleansing the space I was located as recommended in the next section. I immediately felt a sense of 'lightness' in my body and surroundings and less burdened by the worries on my conscience. The book was working already and I had hardly just begun!
As suggested in the introduction, I ended up reading through the rest of the book at sections that were of interest to me, stopping to explore the Relax & Believe and Releasing Beliefs sections in particular. At this point, I had a really great sense that this book was right up my alley in terms of creating a mindset of openness and acceptance. I'm excited to continue to explore the tools and activities throughout this book as my intuition grows with experience.
