|The current pandemic has meant that face masks are now a must. And although it doesn’t matter what your face mask looks like, as long as you have one, you can still style it. From buff stretchable face masks to standard use and dispose of masks, you can work your face mask into your daily style.
We all have a personal style, even if we think we have no style at all. And you can express that with the safety of a mask. So how do you style a face mask to give yourself optimum safety and protection but still look and feel chic?

How To Style A Face Mask
It is imperative that you have a mask with enough protection; however, you can then play around with fabrics and the labels. Some celebrities have made face masks out of beautiful dusty rose pink prodded dust bags. Check out Jenny Walton‘s Instagram for more inspiration on having statement masks.
You can add your own twist on a premade mask.
A New York designer called Rafaela Hanley of Lou Dallas has recently stepped out in a mask that had huge bows and lace Trims and patchwork design. As long as you ensure that the integrity of the fabric you are using remains intact, you can experiment with adding trim and beads, and more to the piping. Most masks are made with a more sturdy edging, which means you can play around with the design there.
If you have a sewing machine, then adding some soft lace trim isn’t going to be too difficult. But adding bows and small items like pearls and beads is often better done by hand. And it won’t take more than a few minutes to stitch them in.
You can even take some inspiration from Shirley Raines and completely bling your mask out with diamante details. Safety and style can go hand-in-hand.
Face masks are a must, and you have complete control over the style and color you choose. And that’s just like your jewelry, sunglasses, handbags, earrings, and shoes. So there is plenty of room to mix and match your outfit. In the midst of a pandemic, when there is so much not within our control, we can still dress up and make ourselves feel comfortable.
Take your favorite outfit, for example, pick out the primary colors, and you can purchase a mask to match.
Just like any other accessory, like earrings, for example, purchased a range of masks. You can add them to your daily wardrobe in so many different ways. Have a set of masks that work with you every day, go-to shoes, and back. Then try to find some sleek options if you’re going to a slightly more classy place.
And remember that your mask will need washing, so it’s important to have more than one.
In the end, just like doing morning yoga, a regular dentist appointment, and taking that multivitamin every morning, your safety is paramount and should be built into your life. However, that does not mean that you are not free to express your creativity when it comes to what you wear and how you wear it.
Make sure that your mask fits correctly. Use a manufactures sizing as a guide and have fun with the styling.
