A key part of therapy is that an individual is able to share private and vulnerable information about their inner worlds, and it can be important to know that this data is being transmitted confidentially, especially through online interactions. When in doubt, ask your therapist how the information you share is being transmitted, shared, or stored so that you have confidence in being able to share your concerns.
